What we deliver, and when
Last updated: 28 August 2026.
What you receive when you sign up, how long it takes, and what we need from you.
What you get
An AI phone receptionist that answers your business line 24 hours a day in your business's tone, the same assistant on your website, and every enquiry emailed to you as it happens. It is a service, not software you install — there is nothing to download and nothing shipped to you.
How setup runs
- You sign up. We take your business details and your card. Nothing is charged at this point.
- We build your receptionist. We write the greeting, the questions it asks and the rules for what to do with each kind of call, based on what you tell us about your business.
- We call you and you hear it. Before it answers a single customer, we walk you through it and change whatever you want changed.
- Your number goes live. Either a new Australian number we allocate, or your existing number moved across to us.
- Your first payment is taken. Only then.
How long it takes
With a new number, most accounts are live within two business days of signing up.
Moving an existing number takes longer, and the timing is not fully in our hands — it depends on your current provider. Typical carrier windows are one to seven business days for 1300, 1800 and mobile numbers, and five to fourteen business days for a standard landline. A complex or batch port can take four to six weeks. Carrier embargoes over December and January can add to all of these. We will tell you what applies to your number before we lodge anything, and we keep you posted rather than promise a date.
What we need from you
- How you want calls handled, and who they should reach.
- For a number transfer: a recent bill, your account number with your current provider, and a signed porting authority.
- Accurate identity and address details where Australian numbering rules require them.
Delays almost always come from waiting on one of these, so the sooner they arrive the sooner you are live.
If something is not right
Tell us. Call 1300 678 135 or email hello@hello247.com.au. We change greetings, rules and routing while you wait — it is not a support ticket queue.
If we cannot deliver what we said we would, see our refunds and cancellations policy.
One thing it cannot do
The service cannot call emergency services and cannot receive calls from them. It is not a replacement for a telephone service that can dial 000. Keep a phone that can.
