Refunds and cancellations
Last updated: 28 August 2026.
What happens if you want to stop, and when we will give money back.
The short version
Month to month, no lock-in. Cancel whenever you like and you will not be charged again. If we have not delivered what we said we would, tell us and we will put it right or refund you.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing hello@hello247.com.au. There is no notice period and no exit fee.
Cancelling stops the next payment. The service keeps running until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then stops. We do not pro-rata a part-used month, because you have had the service for it.
Before your service goes live
Nothing is charged until your number is live and you have heard the receptionist answer. If you change your mind before then, tell us and there is nothing to refund — we simply do not charge you.
The setup fee
The one-off setup fee of A$99 covers building and configuring your receptionist. Once that work is done it is not refundable, except where the service is not delivered or where the Australian Consumer Law says otherwise.
When we will refund you
We will refund you where:
- we charged you in error, or charged the wrong amount;
- we charged you after you cancelled;
- we did not deliver the service you paid for; or
- the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
Ask us and we will look at it. We would rather fix a problem than argue about a month's fee.
Pass-through charges
Some costs are incurred on your behalf and passed on at cost — number porting fees, 1300 activation, monthly number rental. Nothing variable is charged without your prior agreement: it is raised as a pending item, shown to you, and only invoiced once you agree. Once a carrier has performed the work, that cost is not refundable.
How a refund is paid
Refunds go back to the card that was charged, usually within five business days of us agreeing to it. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.
Your rights under Australian law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page limits those rights. If there is a major failure you are entitled to a remedy, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss.
Asking
Email hello@hello247.com.au or call 1300 678 135. A person answers.
